THE WOMAN BEHIND THE BLOG
Nicole Ogg, MHA
and *wannabe* aspiring blogger

My name is Nicole Ogg, formally Nicole Ogg-Lopez for about 5 years, but here I am, again, as Nicole Ogg finding my name and place in this world.
I hold many titles. I am a daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, friend, aunt (not biologically – but those little babes have my heart), teammate, former Healthcare Management Professional turned Area Sales Manager for 2 Pilates studios, and divorcee.

You may be asking why I added the last word? It’s not flattering. It’s not up to societal standards. And it shows failure, right? WRONG. That word, or noun if I’m trying to be studious, is the sole reason why I started writing and why am pursuing this adventure right here. Because it opened my eyes to my Real Life Sh*t.

Now, I don’t want to bore you with my life story, as you will read about some of my experiences in future blog posts, but I do want to take a minute and tell you more about me...
I am a first-generation college graduate. I received two Bachelors of Science in Business Administration (2014) and Health Care Administration (2015) from the University of Rio Grande (Go Redstorm!), where I also played 4 years of college volleyball. After graduating from URG, I moved back to my hometown of Athens, Ohio where I worked as a Manager at our local hospital. In 2018, I started pursuing my Masters of Science in Health Administration from my hometown university, Ohio University (Go Bobcats!) and graduated with that in 2020. I worked for 9 years in healthcare before I was laid off, not once but twice, in 2023...rough year for for-profit mental health organizations. After being unemployed for 8 months, I landed the dream job I never knew I needed with a local, woman-owned, 6 studio Club Pilates franchise. I've lived all over Ohio from the college town of Athens, to the farm in Rio Grande, to the most amazing city ever - Cleveland (the Land will always have my heart). But now I currently reside in Columbus, which is a short drive to my family and friends in Athens.

PSA: this blog will contain curse words. There’s one (although it’s censored) in the title. But if the word “fuck” (sorry mom and dad) offends you, grow up and still read on because I promise you, you won't regret it.
